Life has signed a license to RefWorks, and it gives students the right to use the product as long as Life has the license. It means it should not be uninstalled once belonging to Life ends.

Refworks is the reference management tool that the library will teach from autumn 2010.

RefWorks is web based and can be used from almost any computer (including those using Mac) from anywhere in the world.

Only students and employees can be registered as users of RefWorks: www.refworks.com / RefWorks

 

To register as a user you must do the following:

Please note that you the first time you log in you must do it from LIFE Campus.

Go to www.refworks.com/Refworks/

Click Sign up for an individual account

Fill in the fields - e-mail address must be @dsr.life.ku.dk for students and @life.ku.dk for employees.

Then you will receive an email with a subscriber group code to be used when you log in outside LIFE Campus. The code should be written in Remote Access.

 

New Write-n-Cite

 

The new Write-n-Cite is now alså available for Word. You will find it at the same pace as the old one. After Login to Refworks, go to tools.

 

The new Write-n-Cite is more integrated with Word and has its own tab on PC and its own toolbar on Mac. That means you don't have to switch between Write-n-Cite and Word.

 

The Online/Offline function is now working ithout problems. When you are logged in to Write-n-Cite and do nor log out when you leave the computer, your RefWorks database will be available whether you are online or not.
