Pincode and user-id
Your library user ID and Pincode must be used when ordering books and journals in
REXand for remote access to databases, e-journals and other e-resources.
Forgot your pincode? Please contact the library or have a new pincode sent by:
- clicking 'Sign In' in REX after having selected English language.
- clicking the link ‘Forgot your pin?’.
Change your pincode: When you are signed into REX:
- Click ‘My account’
- Click ‘Personal settings’
- Click Edit
- Click Edit pincode
User ID and pincode for:
Students with a Danish CPR number
User ID: CPR-number
Pincode: A four-digit number - per default the last four digits of the CPR-number
Library card: National Health Service medical card
Students without a Danish CPR number
User ID: University of Copenhagen student ID number (ten digits)
Pincode: Any four-digit number
Library card: University student ID card
Staff
User ID: Six-digit serial number
Pincode: Any four-digit number
Library card: University of Copenhagen staff ID card
Institutional users (libraries, government agencies), companies etc. and interlibrary users (e.g. students participating in e-courses).
User ID: Six-digit number
Pincode: A four-digit number
NOTE: If the institution is already registered as a user at the Royal Library or the former Danish Medical and Scientific Library, use the user IDs and pincodes from those libraries.
Private users
User ID: CPR number
Pincode: A four-digit number
Library card: National Health Service medical card
